Just like you can’t clean under a rug without lifting it, leaving the cover on to clean, means many areas remain untouched and left covered in mould.

“Standard” and “basic” servicing types commonly involve this practice. Simply asking “do you remove the cover?” or “how long does it take?” are 2 good questions. A split system CANNOT be properly cleaned in 15 minutes.

Cover on cleaning is a quick in-and-out service which leaves a unit looking good from the front, while leaving dust, mould & bacteria inside. If mould isn’t properly treated, it will return fast.
